First hunt part 4 : Cross

The pale demon slowed down, stopped, and turned around.

Behind him on the field was the snake master, full of disdain, the rookie hunter hid in the bushes far enough to not be noticed, the hate gave the old man life and reddened his otherwise yellow face, his face instantly gave away his animosity, he was not here for a friendly chat.

The demon, on the other hand, was a little difficult to assess, he didn't demonstrate any signs of grudge or any sort of a preconceived plan as to how handle this situation, all he was simply surprised, angrily surprised, which was completely genuine, he did not understand why the old hunter was following him, and his misunderstanding led to minor bouts of anger that were directed towards the situation rather than the people involved, so at that moment he was not resolved to combat.

The lack of recognition of the part of the demon angered the old snake, he lost his composure and gave a poisonous grimace to the demon.

'' you don't know me? ha, you don't know me Cross? '' he screamed like thunder
Cross, the pale demon replied with a touch of anger '' no, I don't, why do you follow me?''
'' I am here to implement justice, justice on you ''
'' I did not harm anyone on my passage through the town, you have no business with me'' said Cross with confidence.
'' I do, and for it, I will take your life''

Now Cross was really lost, he had no idea what this old creature was after.

'' You took my wife from me'' said the snake in wrath, '' you sliced her with a single swing of your sword, Silva, back at the Borrows''
'' I have no recall of this event, and I have not been to the Borrows'' said Cross, who is now more perplexed than angry, '' but I will remember cutting you '', the threat in his voice was clear, he would take no more of this gibberish.

As soon as Cross declared his blatant non-recognition, the snake's resolve was sealed, in fact, he did not even listen to the rest of what Cross was saying, and The moment when cross finished, a poisonous snake bit his shoulder from behind, deeply planting its fangs into the flesh, and the old man delivered a resounding sideways kick to the head, Cross was taken by surprise, he was destabilized by did not fall, he knelt on one knee as the snake continued to deliver its venom relentlessly.

In terms of physicality, there was no comparison, Cross had the overwhelming advantage, but the old snake had the motivation, the assistance, and the element of surprise, he delivered another kick, vertical this time, to the head, and then he took out a dagger from a hidden pocket in his robe, ''my name is Krait, I killed you, Never forget ''.

But the pale demon was no prey, he was not to be taken out that easily, as soon as he saw the dagger from the outermost angle of his eye, life boiled in him and with a swift move he jumped away from Krait, almost a 100-meter dash with one jump, he was a true beast, and he was through negotiating, he would not waste his breath, with a swift move he grabbed the serpent on his back and moved it where he could see it, a violet skin spotted with black, long fangs dripping venom, the serpent looked him in the eye with malice and hissed insidiously, Cross crushed its head in his hand instantly and looked towards Krait.

Krait, who was hoping to finish Cross before he gets a chance to break free, was worried, but still infinitely resolved to his quest, the element of surprise was gone however, this had turned into a one-on-one duel, he was almost certain of his fate, which, paradoxically, made his resolve even firmer, he chose to maintain his ground and not initiate reckless offence, he regained his composure and stood up, with his snakes hissing under his robe, '' come at me, Cross''.

Cross came surely, so fast you can barely follow his movements with your eyes, krait threw 3 snakes on the air above him, and a moment later, a clash ensued.
